Kit ("the Service") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect

Authentication data: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. This is used solely to authenticate you and manage your account.

App content: The apps you build with Kit are stored locally on your device. We do not collect or store your app content unless you use the Share feature, in which case your app's files are temporarily made accessible as described in our Terms of Service.

Usage data: We may collect basic analytics such as page views and feature usage to improve the Service. This data is aggregated and does not include the content of your apps.

Share logs: When you use the Share feature, we log your user ID, email address, app identifier, and timestamp. These logs are retained to comply with legal obligations and to respond to abuse reports.

3. How We Use Your Data

To authenticate you and provide the Service
To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
To comply with legal obligations, including responding to law enforcement requests
To improve the Service through aggregated usage analytics

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose your information only in the following circumstances:

When required by law or in response to a valid legal process (e.g. court order)
To protect the rights, safety, or property of Kit, our users, or the public
With service providers who assist in operating the Service (e.g. cloud hosting), subject to confidentiality obligations

5. Data Retention

Authentication data is retained for as long as your account is active. Share logs are retained for a reasonable period to comply with legal obligations. Shared app files are automatically deleted within approximately 24 hours.

6. Your Rights

Under applicable law, including Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), you may have the right to:

Request access to the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate personal data
Request deletion of your personal data
Withdraw consent for data processing

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls on our infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
