Features
What works where
Kit runs in the browser, so it works on every platform — but a few features depend on what the platform supports.
Kit is in alpha
Kit is being actively developed and rough edges are expected. The primary supported platform right now is Android with Chrome — that's where Kit gets the most testing and works best. Other platforms (iOS Safari, desktop Chrome, Edge, etc.) generally work but may have bugs.

Background building
View other apps while Kit is building.
YesKit uses Picture-in-Picture to keep building while you view other apps. Requires Android 8.0+ and Chrome 74+.Even with Picture-in-Picture, Chrome on Android may close Kit due to memory pressure from too many apps.

Coming later: full background building everywhere
Background building will land on iOS — and become more robust on Android — once Kit ships either a native app wrapper or cloud building. Both are straightforward; we're just keeping focus on Kit's core right now: producing high-quality apps from your prompts.
